Oh yea almost forgot two tone paint.Original owner went all in on this one and it looks like most of the options have survived with the truck. That is a pretty rare thing. I'm sure I missed some and others can point them out. You got a real keeper there.

I pulled the front end apart tonight. Getting the king pin out was fun. I had to use heat to loosen up the old crude grease up. I will be using a disk kit up front and need to know do I need to keep the backing plates for that kit? anyone use the kit on e bay? I'm going disk all the way. I was given a running f350 to pull the engine ,trans and anything else i want off it. It as a 460 and a 4 speed in it. I hope it will all fit.

You don't need the old backing plates to run disc brakes.

Plenty of people have swapped 460's into these trucks. I'm sure is isn't especially difficult.

Awesome. Thanks. I am thinking of adding a duel turbo setup to the engine. I have built them before That would allow my to get power without buying heads and other expensive parts. just run 5 or 6 lbs boost. At lease its a idea. I'm sending my front beam off for lowering. i wounder how much that engine will drop my truck due tot he extra weight.

It did have that engine. Someone stole it when the truck was in storage and left the grand but took the bell housing.

Anyone need a engine mount kit for the 302/ 351 for this type of truck. I have decided on the 460 and now I don't need this kit. It is new. Cost 110$ may trade for stuff too.

I pulled my rear end apart. everything looks fine as far as i can tell but now i need to figure out how to put it back together correctly. I don't have the tools and the manual does not tell you how to do the backlash and stuff. I guess I should have left it alone and just changed the seals. It was too cold to do much on the body. My body is sore from all the work yesterday.

In theory, if you took it apart carefully and put everything back from where it came, it should be OK

I was trying to but I lost the adjusters position. I was looking at you tube last night and setting the backlash looks easy I just need to find the tool. they do sell a CD to teack you to rebuild for 40$ but I'm not sure.
