Muffler dripping wate

Is the muffler supposed to have a drain hole? Mine is leaking condensate out of the seams on both ends. There's a puddle under the truck everytime I park it

I would say its normal, condensation is normal and part of the combustion process. If it's excessive than you may have a crack somewhere and water is getting in. But I doubt that I think you would know if you had an exhaust leak. So yeah all in all it's pretty normal.

Yes , most mufflers have a " drain " hole . Common to see moisture or a small puddle under the muffler . Nothing to worry about .

I was wondering if there's a weep/drain hole is plugged up and condensate is leaking through a rusted out seam instead. I don't think I have an exhaust leak-- at least none that I can hear.

A close visual inspection will allow you to determine if rust is an issue . You need to get under the truck and inspect . If you are not able to do this inspection yourself , take it to your normal repair facility . They should be more than willing to inspect your muffler .

That's what I was going to do when the weather is better and where I'm parked has a bit less dirt...maybe tomorrow. Getting lazy... :-)

I would think if your muffler is leaking water, it is also leaking exhaust gases.....
Should it not be sealed?

This is normal. After about 30 min crawl under there and take a look to double check to see if thats where its coming from. More than likely it is. That is 100% normal. Not to worry.

has to get hot

When your motor gets up to operating temp, and the exhaust system gets hot, the water (which is a byproduct of burning fuel, and your cat converter) turns to water vapor.

However, if its blowing water and vapor after at least a ten-mile run, and the engine is not running cold, it would indicate coolant getting into the combustion chambers, a serious situation. After a hot run, open the hood and grab the top radiator hose. If you can hold it, it's running cold. Many thermostats these days fail 'cold'.
