Heated Seats for 1992 F-150

Just wondering if it is possible to take seats out of a 2005-09 or up ford and fit them into the 1992 F-150. We have a couple wrecked lariats here in town and I am wondering how tough it is to do the swap. Also with the heated seats how would you hook them up to the truck? Could a toggle switch make the trick I figure there only needs to be a ground wire, power wire, and switch wire correct? Let me know what all you would recommend.

Here are kits from LMC. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories Bottom of the page. LMC is cheaper depending on shipping I believe. Wow! I have never used that phrase before: LMC is cheaper.

Hmmm. I didn't know you could make heated seats out of your existing cloth seats. I thought they were a leather only option. I know our cloth seats are durable...but I would think it would be a fire hazard?

So I'm retrofitting heated seats into my '95 . I have 2x heated seat pads from Duluth, some cable and a couple double throw toggle switches. these will go over the original (fubar) leather seats, and underneath the covers I'm ordering for them. Simple install, and waaay cheaper than most kits even if you include the new covers. The toggles will go on the overhead console along with the switches for internal light, sliding rear screen, aux driving lights etc. Should look pretty cool.

Lots of vehicles have heated cloth seats, my WRX does. Not nearly as cold in winter and no getting burned in summer, they're nice. If the seat heaters are getting hot enough to start the seat cover on fire, you probably shouldn't be sitting on them.
