'08 up rear springs on a '97 F350?

I read a post about a guy using '08 up springs on his '04 F350. He used PMF hangers, drilled some holes and bolted them on. The '08 up springs are 8" longer. So increased payload and a much better ride. Has this ever been done on a OBS? I thought about using some factory '08 up hangers, and welding/bolting them on. I don't see why this wouldn't work?

There is a guy over on the 94-97 diesel section that put a set from a f550 in his f250

I read through the link, thanks Brad. Anyone else have any info about this mod? Again its installing the 8" longer 2008 and newer REAR leaf springs (with front hangers) on a '97 F350.

that is great, but 05 SD is different than an OBS. We don't have those locating holes or that parking brake setup

The PMF hanger is nice, as with all of Trevor's stuff

I have his PMF RSK on my '97, I'm very happy with it.

Even though we don't have the locating holes on our frames, why couldn't we just measure, drill, bolt &/or weld the front spring hangers? Then we could bolt the '08 up springs on our OBS! If the 99-04 SD springs bolt right on, I don't see why this wouldn't work on our trucks.
Has this ever been done?

I would see if Trevor could make a hanger for an OBS
