Indiana Off Roader
Hi all... Checking in from NW Indiana.
My truck is a '99 F-250 Super Duty crew cab/short bed 4x4 7.3 Power Stroke diesel. She has been unstoppable in this latest round of snow. (love it) I have been slowly building her for 3 years to go on off road trails and serve as a camping man-cave. She is also my only truck, a daily driver. I'm U.S. Army Retired/Disabled (did 28 years, 3 combat tours) I'm married 18 years, with two high schoolers. (3 really, wife teaches at the same school)
Back to the truck... The engine is a 400+ hp "Black Mamba" Power Stroke, built and installed by the Horsepower Shop in Erie PA. The 4R100 is an ATS 5 Star with their billet flex plate and TC. It breaths through a cold air intake and a 5' stainless exhaust. I lifted it 4" with Fox Racing shocks, and it rides on 35" Toyo Open Country MTs. For better off road capability she has 4.30 gears and front and rear ARB air lockers. I have built storage cabinets on the bed sides under the camper shell. The stereo had been upgraded to a Pioneer unit that controls an Ipod. It has Eclipse speakers and a JL Audio Stealth box sub. Power Slot Rotors, Optima yellow tops, Rhino Lined rockers, and a few other goodies... Future mods are different bumpers with a winch out front and tire carrier on the rear, a larger fuel tank. Here are a few photos, I love to show off...
When I got her...

Socks, my best friend in all of Iraq... Can't tell you how much she helped keep me sane.
These days...
Just kidding, I drive like a grandpa.
