Sweet Thanks Cheezit

Heres the other DTC you are referring to

Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) Monitor Operation:
DTCs P0336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/ Performance
P2617 – Crankshaft Position Output Circuit/ Open
Monitor execution Continuous (8ms)
Monitor Sequence None
Sensors OK Not applicable
Typical Monitoring Duration Continuous

Crankshaft Position Sensor Malfunction Entry Conditions:
P0336 – 500 rpm< Engine Speed (N) < 4500 rpm
P2617 – 90 rpm < Engine Speed (N)
Crankshaft Position Sensor Malfunction Thresholds:
P0336 – Powertrain Control Module monitors the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) sensor signal for a
unique valid pattern used to indicate piston position. Checks for the absence of the CKP signal. (Crank Mode
– 5 errors, Run Mode – 10 errors).
P2617 - Counter increments in Fuel Injector Control Module when the input CKP is absent and increments
when engine is out of sync with the Camshaft Position Signal (CMP). (Crank Mode – 5 errors, Run Mode –
10 errors).

The test for that requires a duel channel scope to overlay crank and cam. Iirc cam passes 11 windows back of crank.

I have a fluke 95 if he wants to use it.

I think he is like me and needs a new harness. I know I need one,I just wrapped every part of mine in tape that I could get to until I have a extra $450.

Anyone want to trade a spartan tuner for a harness

I know it says fuel pump , but this shows the wiring from the PCM aswell , Cheezit the numbers listed are these fuse links in the PCM or wire harness?
page 3, #85, f2 22 ,f2 36, f2 116, f2 105, seem like the older trucks had them but not sure about our 6.0s Thanks.

Those are not link but they are fuses. F2 refers to the panel under the dash board. So f2-22 would be fuse 22 under the dash.
You have a few fuseable links comming off the pasenger battery.

Hi guys, sorry for the silence. You were starting to lose me there with all that Greek and Latin, but I have know doubt you guys know what you're talking about, and it's all relevant to my troubles. I figured I'd stay out of the way until our next step took shape It appears that the below quote is where I'm heading next, is that right?

I just got home late last nite from driving up from Phoenix, but enroute I was having to make arrangements to travel today to Dallas to attend a funeral. The son of one of my best friends passed away a few days ago from complications from diabetes. Tragic story, I need to be there. I hope to be back Friday noonish and would have all Friday afternoon and Saturday morning to work with the truck, before back to Phoenix for another trip. I will be following this thread in the meantime, and can respond if needed, so please, carry on. I'd love to have a firm gameplan when I get back, but we'll have to keep it relatively simple. I wouldn't know a 'dual channel scope' from a screwdriver, but I can be coached......Thanx for all the efforts......
