I'm getting wrench light on panel (Limp Mode) . Also the check engine light stays on. Anyone else ever have this problem? I didn't get it scanned yet for codes.

That means severe misfire that will damage catalytic converters. Since the factory emission parts cost thousands I would not operate engine.

If you know, is it some sensor causing the misfire?

A likely cause is an ignition failure. Sparkplugs and coils need to be checked. Ford's do not always set a misfire code for defective coils.
