new truck

Well I've been on her for a while after I bought my first 73 f100. Well yesterday I went and picked up my second one. I got a 73 f100 custom 360 v8 with 3 on the tree. Any advice or info is appreciated. I'm gonna try to post up some pics

I post pics the long way using photobucket. I start my reply, click on the photobucket in my signature, locate pic in library mode, left click the url box, right click the url box and right click copy. I then go back to the reply and right click, then right click paste. There's an easier way to do this but I use the Flintstone method with my computer until someone well breasted shakes her head and says ' let me show you an easier way to do this'. As for snow, HAH this is nothing compared to what the guys in Ontario are going through. Sure am glad that I no longer live out east, north or south of the boarder.

Yeah Ford trucks in general have a way of getting into your blood. Especially the dentsides. Can't wait to see what you have.

Ah the joys of owning more that one......

Here's How to Post Pictures:
1. Login to FTE.
2.Click User CP (In the Top Left Hand Corner)
3.(On the Left, There will be a list, The 5th Option Down, will say "Pictures & Albums) Click That.
4.Then, Click Add Album, Enter a title, and description, if ya want to.
5. Click Upload Pictures, Then click Browse, Locate the Files of your truck. (You can add 3 files at a time)
5. Click Upload.
6. Add a description to the individual pictures, then click save.
7. Add more files if ya want.
8. Click The Picture you want to post, it will give you two codes at the bottom, Right Click The Second one (It say's BB Code, Then Say's [IMG]http:blahblahblah...[/IMG])
Then, Once that is highlighted, Right Click, Then Copy, Then Paste it into your post.
You can add up to 30 Images in one FTE Post.

Get a Chilton or Hays manual and then work up to some Ford OEM manuals on CD.

Not specifically sure on Ford's, but the 3 on the tree tranny's were sometimes a pain in the *** on certain trucks........Not the tranny itself per se, but the linkage.........it gets redirected several times, and each junction is a potential wear point. They can get real sloppy, where its hard to find the gear.

If it hurts there, you are shifting with the wrong thing, lol.

Sorry I had to.

To post pics from your album, delete the following from the URL:

html?gnr_tab=0&ref=gnr-img-albumffiffice"<O</O

and replace with:

jpg

The last step is to frame the URL with [img] and [/img]

Also I've had some time to look it over. And I know it needs a really good tune up. But I also need to replace the passenger side exhaust manifold cause its warped and leaking. I also need to replace the steering sector. I can't keep fluid in the pump as soon as it goes in it runs right back out of the bottom of the steering sector. Anybody have any tips or tricks for any of this?
