January - Monthy BS Thread

What a great idea to start a thread where we can toss in random shenanigans about our truck projects. Figured I would take the initial stab sharing what I found while changing the rear end oil. Looks like its time to upgrade to an explorer 8.8!!

I'm not savoy to anything going on around hear, but would love to make to any I can. I'm also just barely getting my truck roadworthy, baby stepping little by little longer road trips. It sat for 15 years and there's still quite a few parts that I'm playing russian rewlet, like all the u-joints

Nice! At least you have tons of brake shoe lining left. I'll see your scorpions and raise you a bunch of black widows. (white blotch is a nest.) I think they're dormant this time of year.

Wow... I got lucky. The only thing I had was mice in the bed chewing up stuff. I was happy they never got under the dash & got to the wiring.

I guess that's a one good thing about being up here where it has been a high of 4 degrees today with a twenty mile an hour wind. Critters like that don't last long in these conditions, neither do people!

I have customers in Michigan and Minnesota. They envy our weather… I envy their water shed! :P

Backed the truck in driveway today… Dipstick leak in the AOD and pinion seal leak in the diff… Looks like I won't be backing it in anymore…

I was working under the dash in my truck tonight and I came across a hide-a-key box. I opened it up and saw this, took me a while to figure out what they were. I wonder what's happened in the cab of my truck.

That is amazing. I'd put it right back where it was

Looks like I get to pull an 8.8 rear end this weekend. 9" is leaking through the pinion seal and pinion support. Plus it sounds like a air raid siren... :-/
