Need to see the accelerator set up for a 59 F100.

I just bought a brand new accelerator pedal and need to see the piece where the pedal lays on. On mine I have a thing that swings and need to know if something is missing. Is the pedal attach at the floor, and then it just sits on the top on that swinging piece?
Thanks

There should be a little ball that swivels at the end of the accelerator rod, the one that bolts to and goes through the firewall. The ball pops into a socket moulded into the back of the accelerator pedal. The pedal indeed bolts to the floor. I can't provide a picture because mine is gone, I'm going to an aftermarket cable pedal in my truck.

Does this help? You can buy the CD's for this illustrated catalog and the two corresponding parts books for about 20$ on Evilbay
Good luck in your quest!

Can not really see how the ball attaches to the pedal.

The pedal (at least the one I bought) has a "socket" that the ball-end pops into, kind of like how your femur attaches to your pelvis hip socket. If you don't have that then it's time to do something else.

No screw or anything? How is the ball held in place?

If I remember correctly the "hole" on the back of the accelerator is slightly smaller than the ball.....so the ball pops into the hole and stays in place. If you were to grab hold of the top of the accelerator and pull it back towards the seat the ball would pop out of place. I hope this makes sense.
