edge ac
We bought a 2008 edge new, it is wifes daily driver and she loves it. Only real problem we had was the tranny stated shifting very ruff. Dealer flashed it and we have not had any more issues. The AC sucks in this car I have always assumed it was just under sized. On a 100 deg. day you can barely feel the cool air coming out of the vents, it does blow better out of passenger side vent then drivers side vent. Anyone else have this issue?
If your driving on highway its takes about 20 min to cool off car, if your driving in town on a 100 deg. day it dont cool down. The dealer said they didnt see any issues with it.

Are you saying the air flow is not adequate or the temp of the air is too warm. Air flow can be blocked by mouse nest or leaves inside the duct work or blower motor. I assume the blower changes speeds and you have all of them ? If you have plenty of air, but its not cool, i would look at the compressor gas charge. (PSI GAUGE) Might be as simple as half pound of 134 gas has leaked out over the past 5 years.

I would look for a A/C specialist shop in your area; they'll be cheaper than the dealer and will pinpoint and fix the problems.
I worked the Ford line in the early 90's and am noticing there are too many parts changers out there. They may have went to school, but you have to learn how to troubleshoot problems--this is becoming a lost art.
Sounds like the control head or the motors that direct air throughout the plenum inside the dash are not working properly and maybe diverting the cold air to the wrong places.

You may have a blend door or vent blockage issue. I once fixed a customer's problem by taking the vent hose off and removing the roll of Tums from the bend door. Not an edge but a later model car. we have an 09 Edge, and the vents will blow your hat off. Good luck.
