F10=F100 2WD pick up
G=302 cu in 2bbl. V8
R=San Jose Assy Plant.
O57027=Hmm, gotta problem. S/N O57027 is for a '77 model year pick up. '77s go from O00001 to O99999. A '76 serial number should fall between A0000 to D25000.
One possibility is the driver's door has been changed. It seems that they never replace the correct warranty plate.
Color X=Tan
Trim DU4=(DU) Tan all vinyl interior (4) Styleside pickup bed
With the question on the serial number I'd check the frame stamped VIN to see if it matches the door.
Also, if it's still there, the paper cert sticker on the driver's door jam will have a manufacture date on it.
BTW, I live in Polk County too, just south of the Osceola County line.

$4500 is much for a non bicent model if it was badged correctly with the right 3 color paint then yeah that would be a sweet find

I went to look at the truck yesterday. To good to be true. The guy selling out was a total "TWEAKER". He was trying to get me to meet him at the gas station so I could help pay for the gas for the test drive. He wanted to see the cash before we even discussed the price or I test drove the truck. As soon as I brought up having someone due an inspection on the truck he got real strange and tried to talk me out of it, then he listed about 20 things wrong with the truck.
The search continues...

Thanks for all the help again.

There are still good trucks out there but you gotta look for them.
The incorrect serial number for a '76 would be a red flag to me. It was strange though, it seemed the rest of the truck matched the codes, tan interior, tan paint, although the same codes were used in both '76 and '77.
Good luck on your search and don't get discouraged.

I found a really decent 73' long bed up here in north Florida. $1,500 is the asking price It has race track trim, a mostly complete green interior and the body appears to be very solid. I can check it out for you if you would like.
