Moving To CO

As long as all the details get worked out next week like they should, it looks like the wife and I are headed to Colorado in a couple months or so!

We are looking at finding a rental home for the time being North of Denver somewhere, haven't really nailed down a location and my work will be all over so no specific place we need to settle down. Looking for any advice on good places to live, or places NOT to live.

Also wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of the smog/emission laws/vehicle inspection requirements. Needless to say, there is no way my truck would pass smog here in California if I had to smog it regularly and I'd like to try and get things figured out now if I'm going to have to make changes before it can be registered in CO.

Thanks for any info you guys might have.

Nathan

somebody that doesn't live in the Springs!

If you can't do smog, you definitely can't do the bigger towns. but north of denver on hwy 85 there are some smaller towns that aren't too bad, and far enough away from denver/ greeley/ fortcollins to be out of the smog controlled area, at least the last I heard most towns in weld county (except greeley) don't have to do emmisions.

I live in greeley, and commonly refer to it as the ghetto of fort collins... err... I mean its wonderful! wanna take over my lease? I know that towns north and towns east of here don't have to do smog, but get past kersey and the quality of communities go down really fast IMO.

loveland and fort collins are good towns, but have emissions. boulder has emmisions and about 2.7 million other laws due to an influx of *cough* californians *cough, cough*

I don't blame ya on the Californian thing, but I can promise that I don't ride a surf board or drive a Prius.
