Awesome! I'm still looking. There were a couple of possibilities, but nothing yet.

Don't shoot me, guys...But after a lot of thought, I am going to full air suspension. Right now is the homework stage, but it is looking like a 3-Link setup in the rear, and going to try my hardest to avoid having to raise my bed floor.

A good side effect, is flat tires are not gonna be an issue!

$500 to lower the front of my truck, get 0 adjust-ability, and have Camber issues....OOORRRR $800-ish for a full air system, better ride, more adjust-ability, and always have air on hand.

Go figure.

Going to dump it in the weeds huh? Why would flat tires be an issue? Are you referring to the scrub line?

Not exactly...lol

As for the tires, just in case I get a flat tire on the road, I can use a small impact gun, inflate the tire, etc....

Oh, okay. Our military trucks have on board compressors as well. We use them for everything. They're handy portable air.

I assume you know about the scrub line when lowering a vehicle. It can be very dangerous if you have too low a line and have a flat. It can become an un-steerable road grader.

Yeah.

Seems $600 is the magical number for me and all the parts to do the swap.

I don't plan on dragging the bottom off it...That's stupidiness.

I'm just looking that for $600, I can have better ride, portable air, and adjustability...

Vs.

$500 for Drop beams and an axle flip that causes camber issues, no adjustability, and causes pinion angle issues.

Sounds like a good plan.

I'm not into slammed trucks, but I like them lower than stock.

It seems trucks get higher every year. A two wheel drive now sits higher than a four wheel drive used to. That's a lot of air moving between the truck and the ground messing with fuel economy and handling.

I like the look of these trucks. The second one isn't really lower, but the chin spoiler gives it a much lower look. (the grass makes it look even lower)

What a wild week. Just got huired at MLI here in town. Will be taking coal samples, etc...

$10/hr, full time and less than 20 minutes away from home.

I start Monday!

That's a shame. The loss of all that free time just for a job.

Congrats.

Congrats Wes on the job!!!

Air ride on Michelle,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(you know, that does sound strange) I agree about how high a lot of trucks sit these days. You're right, my 2002 blue truck F250 4x4 crew cab sits lower to the ground than most 150's, even some of the 2x4 trucks.

Thanks guys. This job might not seem too glamorous; But it's the best I can find right now, and beats my old job 10-1.

Guess this is it for January!

Yeah, my job was really glamorous last weekend when it took me fifteen minutes to un-clog a toilet. Really glamorous.
