I had to make a throttle cable bracket since all of the carbed trucks I found to get parts off were missing them. They had the cables just no brackets. So I don't think I have it routed exactly right and the pedal is stiff. So would someone take a picture of the way their throttle cable is run from the firewall to the carb. It doesn't have to be too detailed just so that I can see how straight it needs to be and where the curves are. Thanks

Here's a picture of the original 2bbl setup. 302's never had a 4bbl from the factory in these year trucks.

Wow look at all the extra crap on the side of it. It looks like it is 3" away from the carb. If I moved the end of mine over that far it would be pretty straight. So I guess I have it where it needs to be. Thanks again

Thanks. I think it is as good as it is going to get unless I get a new cable. It is not in a bind or anything. I just wasn't sure because the cable comes out behind the valve cover but then has to run over 6" or so to attach to the carburetor lever, so it is "S" shaped. I wanted to make sure I had it right.
