Exactly why if I ever make it to RRE, my OBS will be towed in. Any event that truck goes to, there are no plans of driving it easy to save parts.

215/85R16s + 70 mph + smokey mountains = 12-13 mpg...

I flipped Aaron off when he showed me his 22 mpg lol. I hope he didn't take that seriously lol

My wallet didn't find it funny lol. But yea, that's pretty awesome he got 22 mpg. I think next year we are definitely either getting:
A: a cabin
B: a topper like Aaron with an air up mattress lol

Some 3.55s would be nice too lol. Maybe I should get some 3.08s and decommission the 250 as a tow rig lol

I think your gearing is fine JP, you just need bigger tires. A set of 33 will make a BIG difference.

When does Clay know what time next year he will have the event? Third weekend in July? I'll reserve now if its written in 'stone'. It only cost me $10 to reserve early and then cancel.

There was that one grade on 75 in northern Tn, when I described it my dad knew exactly which one I was talking about lol. Anyway, it made me drop into 4th and she pulled it at about 68 turning about 3100-3200 RPM's for what seemed like 3min. That's the hardest I've pushed that truck. These 7.3's are friggin awesome. WITH blown apart uppies! Highest MPG I saw was mid 14's but a lot of that was trailer less. Lowest was mid 9's and that was pushing it hard through Ky and Tn. Fuel mileage be damned, I gotta turn RPM's to get through those passes! Lol. I wasn't messin around when it came to getting through. Nate and I pushed almost 75 all the way home. Next year I hope to have a 5er....I better get my house finished. And of course there is the need for a turbo....LMFAO!!

I don't think he starts planning till winter.

If I do get a 5er, you better believe I'll make sure the slide(s) have a manual crank!

I was hitting 3000 rpms a couple times doing 80+ to try to catch back up. I noticed my truck is out of power at those RPMs.

And I forgot to mention, that was 12-13 mpg with my speedo reading 5 mph too fast, so I was prolly getting closer to 10 the entire time...

I like the look of a tall skinny tire, sorta like the old army trucks. Do they make a 235/95 lol!

Thanks Todd. As far as the slides having a manual crank, I don't think you'll find them on the super slides. (ten foot and bigger) but I don't know for sure.

I believe mines got a super slide and it's got a manual crank. I'm not sure the exact length but it slides the couch and table/chairs on the same slide. I'm guessing it's gotta be 10-12 ft. It's the majority of the side of the camper, but it's also a bit older @ 2003

Usually info starts coming out around end of the year/first of the new year.

I picked up my "new to me" truck yesterday and got told I was expected to be there next year lol, so I better start planning now lol.
