Overcast and cool this morning. Lightening last night over the cascades... hopefully it didn't create any new fires.

 

Mornin' all.............We had a heck of a T-storm last night accompanied by 20 minutes of HEAVY rain.
Felt just like being in the mid-west again.

Morning Dave and Tiny, we got the thunder and lighting and the rain last night also.

 

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 58° with solid overcast and rain here at the moment. Forecast calls for it lasting through tonight then clearing off.

 

This rain is going to cut into Don's idea of a good time if it gets much farther east.

However, it looks to be going south to north, and not as far east as he's camped. Maybe they'll get lucky.

Maybe that's why it's called the "Dry Side"?

The rain has returned. I'm glad that I'm in the office today.

 

Looks like at least some of the fires are getting moisture and that is going to be a big help to the wild land firefighters.



Have another heavy shower hit a little bit ago and now another one is passing through. Sending it on your way Tiny, should be there in 20 or 30 minutes.

The forest fires are so terrible. It is a shame......Put all the welfare bums to work clearing out all the dead undergrowth and we would have far fewer fires...


It is HOT again........This morning it was OK working on the trailer house.... This afternoon......it got HOT.....finally quit at 1600. Shower and sitting in the 5th wheel with the A/C running.......I might live.....

Caught an intestinal "bug" and had to come back and see the Dr. Crew is still up there...

I needed to come home and start filing papers on our new claims anyway...

I found a HUGE Chromite/Manganese "lense" up on the mountain and need to get the load claims filed right away. I'll post pics of the trip and the new claims tomorrow. I need a shower and bed right now.....
