I talked to the prosecutor yesterday because I was in such disbelief. To make a long story short, he serves a minimum of 2 years, max 10. It's up to the probation board to let him out. If me, my neighbors, and the rest of the town shop up to these hearings, he will not be granted parole and stay locked up. The prosecutor said many times victims don't show up, and because he made his bed every day, he gets out. But when victims do show up, the guy stays in jail. There are so many people that this guy has harmed that we're going to need to rent a bus to get us all there. But we're going.
