Tow company can't get here until Monday, so I rented a car and am continuing on my way to my buddy's place. I asked Enterprise if they had any trucks, they said they had a new Silverado, but it can't move because it has a recall. I feel slightly better.

Thanks! They told me they sold one out of the red truck (that I was going to look at) for $65 to someone passing through who's plastic pipe broke on the road. I told them new ones sell for $75 online.
Then when I came back to pay for it, I said hi by name to a guy I sold a fireplace to 20 years ago and he discounted it to $35 plus tax.

The new building structural steel is up and they were starting to put up the steel siding. You now have to sign a waiver to walk in to the yard. Or maybe I just never did it before? I didn't get there until 11:30 so I had to hurry.
I love walking through dreaming about what I could do for projects. Haha!

I should've trusted my gut when I first read this...but, I didn't and headed south anyway. 197 miles later, here I sit in a motel 6 just south of Ft. Wayne with a broken truck AGAIN! My 2 month old rebuilt transmission crapped the bed. The place that did the trans work is sending a truck and trailer in the morning to drag me back to MI.
