I believe the time has come to move on from the 6L and into the wonderful world of the 2011+ SD. If you all wouldn't mind keeping an eye out for deals, I'd appreciate it. Has to be a 4 door, I'd prefer a long(standard) bed, prefer the diesel but not ruling out the gas, most importantly, the boss needs the creature comforts of the Lariat or the KR.

Oh, anyone want a 6.0?

21p mirage plus. RPMs are right on at 4600-4700 with it before it starts to slip with too much trim. tried my 23p plus and was too much prop.

going from a 19 to a 23 in the same prop would drop your rpms by around 800.

I thought I read is was only 2-300 per. Right now I run 50 @ almost 5100rpm. I'm supposed to be in the 44-4800 range also.

200rpm per pitch inch.. going from a 19 to a 23 is 4 inches by my math.

is your current prop a 3 or 4 blade?

Will do Jim. I'll put my Ford sales buddy on it.

Compared to previous diesels, the 6.7s reliability has been outstanding. The only red flag, while rare (and with your luck) is 2010 production date trucks had some exhaust valve dropping issues. Any other repeat issue on this generation are pretty easily addressed.

it's a Stainless 3 blade. supposed to be a viper from what I've read, but everyone of those I've seen have viper on the body. this one is blank.

The only numbers I see on it is 14 1/2x 19
