I will be back Friday night Rich if you want the AE back. I am still having issues but mine are definitely stiction issues. If I let her warm up it runs fine.

Only thing I will need the AE for is if we have issues getting the white one started.

Wonder when the transmission is going to be ready?

No worries Andrew. I have a few projects this weekend and hunting, but we will get together prolly for dinner or something. I would like to hook it up and see what I see at least.

I figured we would need it for the trans. I can probably run the trans jack over so we are that far ahead with that anyway.

Feel free to run over to Bremen Alabama and grab that frame for me.....

Sounds good. Guessing you have not heard from your buddy yet either? After this weekend I am hoping to be all buttoned up except for the trans and transfer case. Fuel line and filter along with exhaust should be here by Friday!

FYI....family farm and home in Wayland has fuel additive on sale, big bottle is 12.99.

Also saw a bottle of stuff called Rislone, it's an oil treatment that is supposed to remove sludge and free up sticky parts inside the engine. Was only $6 so I thought I would try it. Poured in last night and only drove it about 10 miles. This mornings start up had absolutely no blue smoke in it......

nice, keep us posted.

put new batteries in the truck yesterday, the old ones were really getting weak. love the advance auto coupon codes, saved me $88. wish it worked on oil.

sidenote, it's pretty crazy how attached you become to a ScanGauge, its unnerving driving without one haha.

Keep us updated on the Rislone. I've seen that in stores and on TV, just didn't know anyone who has tried it. My truck has been a little smoky after a long cold soak, but completely clears up when ECT/EOT get above 180. The smoking started after I went from Mobil 1 5w40 back to T6 and added a quart of Archoil. I've run T6 and Archoil together before and don't remember any smoke, but it was my spring oil change not the fall change with colder temps.

The blue smoke is fairly common in colder temps from the richening of the fuel mix. Not too concerned about that. It was the massive amount that would come out when I would start to move, it clears up in less than 50'.

I am going to change the tune back to the next towing tune up and see if that changes anything......

SOOOOO true. I've run a SGII for quite a while now. I bought the Dashboss about a month ago, but can't seem to get the nerve to pull the SGII out and go with the Dashboss. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I start the truck and look above the mirror and don't see anything. But, it will be kinda neat to start the truck go back inside and watch my ipad to see the temps.

Yeah, the smoke wouldn't bother me if it didn't happen at every stop until the temps get to 180. It seems excessive. I'll go back to stock and see if it changes. The part that bothers me is that it didn't so much as puff before the oil change.

I've contemplated selling the SG, but it might be nice to have around when someone needs to check something out on their truck.
