2012 Super Duty LED Lights and Custom Switches
I just wanted to take an opportunity to share with you guys a project my shop was tasked with putting together for a customer. The customer brought all of the equipment, we just provided installation services and built the custom mounts/switches.
Basically what we do was construct him some custom mounts for his duel forward facing LED bars.
Then we mounted the rear facing LED bar to his headache rack and fished the wiring inside the rack to the front of the truck.
I was shocked at how bright this one was:
The fun part came in setting up the switches. The vehicle was equipped with the upfitter switches, however the customer wanted to use these for another purpose, so instead of ****ty radioshack toggles we got creative.
The vehicle has the 4wd on a lever on the floor, so we ordered a factory 4wd switch for the dash and modified it to be able to control the lights. Then we just sprayed the switch flat black to hide the OEM markings.
Here is the switch before we modified it:
Unfortunately I do not have any post install photos of the switch as the battery on the iPhone died before we finished.
Provides a nice clean factory looking control scheme though!

Thanks for the feedback guys!
Thank you for the feedback guys, had I known the reception was going to be this good I would have shared these shenanigans sooner! (you know how it is, some forums you need to come with flame suit ready to go)
I will try and get pictures from him of some of the other work we have done, the LED bars under the bed rail to illuminate the bed is quite nice as well.
I should also see if he has another 4wd switch, maybe if he is looking to get rid of it I can modify it for him and he can toss it up here on the classifieds.
Happy New Year all!!!
