Im just not a fan of those kits. Some people swear by them, others have nothing but problems.
I looked at a 66 short bed that was for sale in Atlanta a couple years ago. The stance was really nice. The owner cut the front springs and had the beams bent. He did a hanger relocation kit on the rear. The truck looked great and drove really nice. I didn't buy it because he said it needed minimal bodywork, I said it needed $5000 in bodywork so we couldn't agree on a price. If I were to lower the front end, I think I would go the route he did.

I am looking at getting my first 66 truck and I have looked at everything from IFS kits by No Limit Eng. and Fatman to the drop beams by DJM..Even thought about the CV conversion. This truck is going to be built as my daily driver...But i am still going to use it as a truck..Thats is what is keeping looking at the drop beams!

I wonder what is in store next for your suspension uhh.. Saga? Haha eventually when I lower my truck I'll probably be going with a ifs these beam nightmares are just to much hassle for what you get out of them IMO. Seems it's 50/50 with all these kits whether it's good or not I ain't a betting man so I'll choose another way. Wish I could give a djm experience to you but I can't. Just like aim users djm users swear by there kits from my research into the debate. Both had good and bad reviews.

I bought 'em for my '65. I didn't have any problems with them once I got the kingpins removed from the old ones ( Pain in the A$$ is an understatement). The dream beams fit just like they should and the powder coating they use is very nice. Mike was a big help for stupid questions from me. I cut 1 1/2 coils on it so she sits even lower. Before I cut the springs the alignment looked exact but since then it's a little out. Not a big deal to me since it's not going to be my daily.
