Honestly Rick, haven't even started it yet with the 5 inch. I wanted to get the box and axle done, truck set down, then make sure the exhaust was mounted to clear everything ok. It's more/less last on my list. It was much easier to hang it with the box off, but I'll finish it at the end. I don't have any clamps or anything on it yet.

Thanks Nate!

Somebody got a link to some good body bushings? I thought I had something saved, but guess I don't.

Glenn, I know you had a couple links saved for replacing them too, would you mind putting them up?

I did a search, but almost everything was in umpteen page threads, and I didn't want to look through that much.

I got the ones I bought (the ones Glenn ended up using) from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. Here's the link:

Glenn, I don't remember, did you find one way that worked best to remove the old ones?

I pulled the front apart this morning and switched bearings and races over to the dually hubs. I have to get some bolts to put the brake rotors on them. R&R rest of the day.

Looking good Darin. Hope everything goes well with the Doc. Take it easy and don't over do it.

The directions from the factory said to use a piece of muffler pipe as a puller. Didn't work for me. Another said to drill them out but I couldn't see doing that. Then I read the one I did and it worked great. Lope a chain under a floor jack and use the bolt that you took out and put it thru a couple links of the chain. Screw it into the bottom threads with the chain fairly tight, then jack up on the frame, it will pull it right out. I say right out, LOL. Some of them were really in there and I couldn't believe the pressure I had to put on the jack before they popped out. Clear as mud?

You didn't get the bolts with your dually hubs?

No, I bought them from someone on here and they weren't with them. There isn't anything special about them, is there? I had a 9/16 bolt with a shoulder/thick washer on it that fit well, so was going to look for 16 like it. Was thinking I'd loctite them in and be good.

Glenn, I think I got what you are saying. I'm gonna tackle this before I do any more work on the box in case I need to shim it to make the body lines line up.

I don't think the poly will settle much at all. Maybe I'm off base, but I'm going to set it up so the box is pretty much the same as the cab.

Someone set me straight if I am wrong.

I think your thinking is correct. Do the body then shim the bed to match.
