I don't drive it empty hardly at all. It's not bad, but you know they are there! Normal roads are just fine empty, its just the real rough ones that'll get your attention. With the trailer on, its excellent.
If I drove it empty much I would have put smaller springs and air bags on. This way was much cheaper for me, and works well for what I need.
Brad, they are 10 plus the overload. They are brand new takeoffs from a '12 F550.

Thanks Doug, I'm not going to do any now. I'd like to, but I don't have time. Too much other stuff on my plate, I just need to get it together and out of the shop for now. The frame is rust free now, besides maybe a little surface rust in a couple places, doesn't look so good in the picture, I was on a lot of wet gravel roads before I pulled the box. I hardly drive it in the winter, and if I do, I avoid the salted roads if possible.

Thanks Bill! If my back was up to it I could probably get done this weekend, but I'm not sure I can/will work that hard.
Glenn, the hoses for the dually are different cause they come out on the fiberglass fenders, so I got some from the junkyard for 20 bucks off the same truck I got the wheels.

I knocked off early today, back just is not feeling real good. I got my solid mount done for the ball and set the box on. I have to get a set of body bushings. The passengers side rear is sagging pretty good. Only one, but I'll change them all. A few more pics.
Here's the mount. It had the 3/4 steel across for the flip down ball mount. I put a piece of 1/2 inch plate between them for the ball and 3/8 angle under each side to tie them together. The angle is welded to the original 3/4 steel, the plate, and to the nut for reinforcement.
Here's a few pics of the box just sitting on. Not sure if I'll get anything done tomorrow, depends on how I am. Gotta go see the doc who did my first back surgery friday.

I havent had time to follow the build much. Have you had a chance to compare the 5" with the 4" exhaust tone?
