Replacing front wheel bearings
I'm going to have to break down and replace the wheel bearings, and a couple other things, on my '02 Exploder. I've looked at parts online and I see the bearings are available individually as well as is the whole assembly deal. So, does this mean that the bearing assembly is serviceable? Bearing assembly replacement on my F-350 was a big job. What am i getting into here with the Ex?
THANKS!!!!

The 4 x 4 has a hub bearing unit that you replace. You dont disassemble and just install a bearing. That is common on 2 x 4 trucks. Dont know if your 350 was a 4 x 4 or not. Standard procedure is to remove tire, remove brake caliper and disc, remove center axle nut and push axle inward an inch. Now you have better access to remove the 3 bolts holding the hub unit to the knuckle assembly. When the bolts are out, tap the hub/ bearing unit of of the knuckle and off hte axle spline.
