BEEN AWAY! Y block dizzy ??

Ok I dont own a Ford truck but i am doing a frame -off restoration on a 56 ford victoria and have searched high and low for a 57-up non loadamatic distributor when i came across a RICHPORTER FD-06 sold by advance auto says "fits a 64 f-100 with292,which is what i have.But the info says also fits 302 fords.WTF! 302 ford and y block have different shaft lengths.Im gonna call them tomorrow (monday)and get my money back.I cant find the 30-2808 cardone dizzy anywhere maybe rebuild a J.y one i see one in a wisconsin jy for 50 bucks.

There are three Cardone 30-2808 distributors on e-bay right now...

The shaft of the Richporter FD-06 is 1" off and the most effective means that I have found to make it work is to get it on the lathe and graft the end of a Y-block distributor shaft section onto it. It's not ideal but it works. Mallory makes one that will fit but doesn't look stock.

Did you mig weld it? How did you graft it on?

Press fit, drilled, and pinned but MIG would undoubtedly be worlds better.
