2013 Ford F150 3.5 Ecoboost MPG?
#61
Look, an ecoboost with the 3.73 axles isn't going to get the MPG's that I get and likewise, the Hemi in any half ton config isn't going to pull 11,300 pounds.
Every post that you've made is unsupported by facts and is in negativity of Ford. What gives? Did you h ave a bad experience with a Ford product? Care to tell us about it?

How's that better than the ecoboost? I'm getting a solid 19-20 mixed and 24 on the freeway at 65. I'm easily seeing over 22 at 75. My truck is rated to pull 9200 with the 3.31 axles.

Is the Ram 19.2 MPG overall average or highway? I'm getting 23ish highway at 65mph and 17ish overall average.

www.fueleconomy.gov reflects my 2013 F150 3.5L 4x4 ecoboost at the same MPG. The Ecoboost 'our users average MPG' reflects 16.8. Which is pretty close to accurate.
Of course the www.fueleconomy.gov website does not account for gears. I have the 3.31 gear ratio.

well that's a 1000LBS less than my travel trailer and I can get 12 to 13 out on the flats 7 to 9MPG in the hills with my 5.0

Are you running OEM tires? Stock Ride height? Mostly highway/ flat driving? Just trying to figure out how two very similar trucks are getting ~3 mpg different lifetime average.
Mine is leveled with 275-65-20 Nitto Terra Grapplers (came that way as I bought used). I'm debating going back to OEM tire size and removing the blocks to try to get my mileage up.
Thanks,
DZ

My mileage with the enclosed car hauler varied a lot. In the mountains I was getting between 8 & 10, while on the flatter land I saw as high as 14 but mostly around 12. Bucking a headwind is tuff with a car hauler with that large square frontal area. Mine with the car came in about 7,200 pounds. Towing my boat I get better mileage. I mostly tow around 70/75 mph. In the dakota's it's hard to go that slow. I recently switched to an open trailer for ease of use.

I have a 2013 F150 FX4 Max Tow Screw eco boost 3.5 with 47000 miles. I bought this vehicle back in September. My gas mile was 12 city and 17 highway. The first thing I did was buy a K&N air Filter. It did not increase my mileage. About 3 weeks ago I replaced the spark plugs from Stage 3 Motor Sports Motorcfaft gapped at 0.30 I went down to see my brother about 180 miles and I got 17 MPG on the way back I set the B trip meter for the trip back. I got 18 miles to the gallon according to the idiot gage. I had my truck taken into the dealer and asked to check the tranny, it was jerking, and poor gas mileage. I asked 3 times check for poor gas Mileage and to update the PCM. They charged me 292.33 and didn't even get a kiss. They said there was nothing wrong with the truck. I finally filled up with gas at Costco 92 octane. I reset the trip meter on A and B and I got 22 mph going home. It was mostly down hill. I went on a road trip for about 30 miles Highway, and I got 22 MPH, and soon as I got to down as expected the gas mileage went down to 15.5. The temperatures are in mid 30's May the mechanic updated the PCM without telling the service department. How do I find out which year PCM do I Have? I hope the gas mileage improves when it warms up.
