2007 F250 5.4 in 2006 F150 5.4 will it work?

2006 F150 KingRanch 4x4 Flex gave up the ghost at 324k.. need to find a motor to replace it with- found a 2007 5.4L from a F250.. low miles.

Will it be a direct fit? if not what needs to be swapped over?

Other option is a 2007 F150 engine, but it has higher miles.

Thx,
Tim

Sorry I don't have the details that you looking for...but off hand it should be a direct swap, it is within the same generation. If the "new donor" engine is out of another F150 & not a expedition or van...should be straight up swap. Take Lots of pictures of everything, before, you start of both current engine and of the donor as well as taking notes. Can't imagine that there won't be anything that couldn't be transferred to the "new donor".

Might be wise to chatt with local dealerships techs or local salvage yards....they should be able to provide some insight as well.

some of the accessory brackets or locations may be different, but you should be able to swap them over easily

Can anyone tell me what is different between the FFV and non FFV? I have a V in the 8th digit place of my VIN, but I found a good deal on a F150 motor from a wrecked 2007 that is just a regular gas..

Probably need to use my intake/injectors/fuel rails... anything else?

yeah I'd never use e85 to begin with lol, just don't want any codes or check engine lights because NY requires you to plug in the computer to pass emissions..
