Ok here is the final on the radiator issue:
Found left hand side tank leaking at the bottom corner (drivers side)
Found CASTING SAND in the drained coolant.
PCM calibrated per TSB 12-5-12.

New radiatior
New coolant
Reprogramed PCM
all this cost me nothing, nadda, zip, no money. Im a happy guy.
Will be watching MPG to see if it gets better or its going south.

Well, I have had 5 Super Duty's in the last 6 years. In fact, I need to update my signature line again!! I finally talked brother into getting out of his Dodge and into a Ford!! He got 2012 F-250 with the 6.7. He has loved his truck until he noticed the coolant leak. When the shop told him how much it is going to cost to fix, well, he wasn't to happy!! $1200 since he is 7000 miles out of warranty!! I did send his information to Crystal (FordService) to see if she might be able to help out!! I'm hoping for some good luck!!! Will keep you posted!!!

Regardless how many miles a person has on their truck. When it comes to the radiator and how many problems they are having with them it should be fixed at no charge.
No telling how many folks are out there and are not on this forum having the same issue. Needs to be a TSB.

I agree with you about the mileage on a known issue and not for just this model year. I'm having a real hard time with this. $1730.00 for a radiator replacement, I know it takes a long time and not the easiest job, but still. Plus the dealer seems reluctant to do anything because, "they don't make any money on warranty repairs." That is a statement from a wrench at a dealer not the dealer itself. Still waiting to hear from Suburban Ford and I still not holding my breath.

Hey farwhitenorth,

Did FORD help your brother out with his radiator? Hope they fix it for him.

Well, brother got the call from the dealer today. Fomoco will cover half the cost. Needless to say, bro feels about 50% better. This is still a little hard to swallow since it seems to be a pretty common issue.

Question for all you guys, I have a 2011 f-250 with the 6.2...Do I have the same radiator? I think I know the answer but wanted to be sure. Upcoming trip to AK, don't really want to break down north of the border!!!

BTW, thank you to Crystal AKA FordService for any help you may have provided!!

Would you mind to maybe shed some light on the reasons why some Customer Service Managers opt to cover the entire repair of one of these radiators that is out of warranty but another CSM chooses to not cover or only cover part of the repair bill?

Thanks again!!

50%? I might have let them do it for that. Looking at the price of the radiator from FORD and the quote the dealer gave me that would be the cost of radiator and labor is full rate. I still don't understand from what I've read on this site and others is that the 2010 with the Diesel appears to have a TSB that calls for a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty for the same issue in the same location on the radiator.

I think your 6.2 has a different radiator in it and only the 6.7 are having the issue.

While at my local Ford (tiny) dealer yesterday to ask about something else, I inquired to the service gal about if they have radiators in stock and how many have they done. Not in stock and they have done a couple. She was however pretty bummed about maybe getting to do another one as they only have 1 certified diesel tech and it is an 8 hr job. That means no other Ford truck gets worked on that day. In a farming community with a lot of Super Duty's, I can see why she was bummed.

The 6.4 had the same radiator issue. In the same location. At least the 6.7's don't need major work near as often, and the $1k cab-off operation B4 they start work on the engine is a thing of the past.
