Wheel offset and Tire size question
Hello,
I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times, and I'm just looking for some opinions. I have a 2006 F350XL FX4, and it's fleet truck that I bought from the company I work for.
It now has 18" steel rims, with 275/70-18s. I'd like to upsize to CPP ION 174 alloy 18"x9" and Nitto Trail Grappler 295/70-18.
I'm told that the factory rim is a +20 offset. The new alloy wheels are a 0 offset. The new tire height will be 34.57", and the width will be 11.73".
I'm pretty sure these will fit with no problem, as I'm also installing a 2" leveling kit.
My question is, I have a choice to buy a 0, +5 or -5 offset. I'd like to keep these tires tucked in the fender well as much as possible without rubbing, and to avoid that look of these things hanging to far out. I know some people don't mind that... no offense but I don't care for it.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Jim
