ScangaugeII Hook Up and Value

I saw Advanced Auto had the ScangaugeII for $140 so I went and picked one up. Is this really worth the $140 or should I just do my needed body work on my roof? Where is the best place to secure it with the Velcro?

You "need" to have a monitoring system for the 6.0. The scanguage is extremely popular here, but some new options are now available. I use the Torque Pro app for Android phones. I have $30 invested. The dashboss is for the I phone. It is more expensive though.

I drilled a hole in my dash just above the right hand air/heat vent. It fits perfect there and simply to see. Also easy to run the cable. Took me 10 minutes.
And yes the gauge is worth every penny. You can monitor everything you need to such as the FICM voltage, ESP, EOT, TFT, water temp. The list goes on. And by monitoring these gauges you can save big bucks on serious problems before they happen. Load the codes and enjoy the piece of mind of knowing what your truck is doing.

There is also a blendmount that installs the sg2 above the rearview mirror. I ran the cable down the a-pillar and tucked it up behind dash. Makes it easy to see.

I looked at phone ones but in the end I decided that I would want a stand alone unit. Looks like it's worth it then. I'm not really ready to drill a hole in the dash so I'll see if the Velcro would work there. I just hope I don't find out a bunch of problems after it's hooked up haha.

Setting it up now, it needs the size of the fuel tank, What size is it? I have an 8ft bed supercab and the tank is located under the drivers side of the bed.
