Turbo whine at cold temp start

I noticed when I started my truck without being plugged in the Turbo had a very noticeable whine for at least 5 mins after start up. Is my turbo going out or is that normal when the oil temp is very cold, I didn't have the truck plugged in.

Also getting some oil residue in the exhaust pipe, turbo seals going out?

If your EBPV is not unplugged, that could be where the whine is coming from. Oil in the exhaust is a good sign of turbo seals going out.

I unplugged the EBPV several weeks ago because it was being activated after the truck had warmed up while I was driving down the road.

I have found some out on the intake side of my turbo. I can't think of anywhere else that it would have come from. Can the turbo be rebuilt or resealed. I know it is still in working order. Bit for how long I don't know

Some oil in the intake is normal. The crank case vents into the intake tube and can deposit some oil in there.
