BF goodrich or Nitto Terra Grapplers
I am currently running 35x10x16 BFG's. This is my second set and they first were great. I primarily use the truck to tow a boat or a toy hauler. I was at discount this week and saw a set of XD8 Heist wheels that were 20 inches with 295xXx20 tires. I can't remember the exact size but they were basically a 35 inch x 20 tire. They looked awesome. The tires were Terra Grapplers. How will these compare to my BFG's for towing, mileage, ride etc? Looking for advice. Thanks all.

I have the 10 ply Terra Grapplers on my 05. Primary function of the truck is pulling my 32ft toyhauler. Right now, I have 45k on the tires and tread is still over the wear bars.
I have stayed away from the BFGs since they dropped the KM1 line. They went to a softer compound and just don't hold up.
If I didnt go with the Nitto Terra Grappler, my second choice would be the Toyo Open Country AT.

I currently have 315/75/16 (35") Terra Grapplers installed. They are a "cool" looking tire, but that's all I can say about them in the good.
Slicker than owl poo in the rain...I can make my little ole' V-10 light 'em up on command. The Michelins they replaced didn't do that ever
Also are a very loud tire. They make a ton of road noise, almost Mud Terrain noise levels which I've found to be somewhat annoying.
I don't regret buying the tires, but I definitely won't run them again

Nitto and Toyo are made by the same company, very very identical. The only exception from what ive been told is that toyo runs 1 ply higher in their tires. Maybe someone here could confirm that but I have Nitto and they are great. I had terra's on my last truck and loved them, have Trails's on there now and both were great if you keep tire pressure high as it requires for good tread life.
It was mentioned they are slick on rain, almost any AT tire is slick in rain when you give that skinny pedal a little punch. I spin tires on my 7.3 work truck going from 2nd to 3rd its a standard with highway tires. I guess that point is any tire can spin.

For the $$$, you can get a better performing tire. My wife's Escalade has Goodyear AT/s on it, and I'm liking them a lot. The Escalade can roast those tires on demand...but the tires themselves don't cause any issues unless I deliberately cause the issue. Had the AT/s on my 2006 F-150 with the Supercharger, and again they performed very well vs. my foot + blower action

I had TerraGrapplers on my 2010 F150 FX4. Absolutely the worst investment I have ever made on any vehicle. They wouldn't grip anything, dry, wet, loose, hell they struggled on brand new asphalt. The traction control was constantly cutting in and out when I turned because the tires would constantly slip in normal driving. They did last quite a while, but I was looking forward to them wearing out so I could get something else. Ended up getting rid of the truck...
