Ordering a new truck!! Please help

Almost ordered a new 2014 for a good price, until I learned of the upgrades to the 2015 Superduty 6.7. Of coarse the dealer is telling me the 2014's are great and I shouldn't be concerned. However I want to know what you guys think. I did a search on this topic, but not much info. There are a lot go good incentives right now and I don't know if the upgrades are worth waiting for the 2015's.

I believe the 15's have a bigger turbo for better exhaust braking and they changed the rear suspension because everyone complained there super duty sagged too much. Depends what you plan to do with it. If you tow heavy and would benefit from the better exhaust brake then I would wait. If not then I would keep the 14 on order. The styling is the same with both. I think the ordering for the 15's starts in May. Hope this helps!

If you order a new one make sure the dealer has an allocation spot or you will be waiting a long time for a special order. I know this because I had to wait 17 weeks for mine to come through. No help from Ford either.

6.7 gen 2 has a bigger, single turbine turbo, manual exhaust brake, bigger injectors, higher output fuel pump, stronger internals, thicker head gaskets and some changes to the transmission. This is all based off the gen 1 which has been tweaked several times since '11 and is already a beast of motor. I'm sure you would be happy with gen 1. Personally I already have one and would wait for the gen 2 if I was buying a truck

I believe the gen 2 will only be available in the f450 at first, not 100% sure though...

I have a 2013. It is a good truck. Only issue really is the weak exhaust braking action.

Using manual mode for the tranny takes care of that.

Thanks, I'm just a little nervous to trade my 04 Duramax. It's been such a good truck.

I'd order one now.
You'll get a great truck.

The newer trucks will out pull and out haul the 04. It will be a big jump. My GCVWR is over 30K.

Course it is a DRW though.
