1985 Ford f250 Heater blower not working.

My heater blower motor does not work. I do not have power to the speed selector switch, the blower motor resistor or to the motor itself. The blower motor fuse is good and i have power to both sides of the fuse with the truck in run. the wiring diagrams i have looked at show an orange/black wire from the fuse but mine has a grey/orange and a grey/yellow the grey yellow is my power from my ign switch. My f20 has a factory ac but it is disconnected. I do have power to the temperature control units plug. does anyone have any idea why i'm not getting power to my blower components, what should i check next?

fixed!

I was able to locate the problem. I worked all the way from the fuse box to the plug for the blower which is the first component on the system i had power about 6 inches from the plug but not at the plug. I had a broken connection at the plug where the wire runs into the plug. I repaired the plug and now my blower works. I'm glad this problem happened though because when i took the blower resistor off to check it, the housing was full of leaves and I was able to clean it out and avoid a fire. secondly in my electrical chase i found my broken vacuum vent line and repaired it so now I can run more than my defrost vent when winter comes. while i have the dash apart i'm going to put a new speedo cable in and fix my dash lights as well as redew the radio wiring. next will be the holes in the cab roof where the P.O drilled all the way through the cab to mount a C.B and a hole where a c.b ant was mounted. Any ideas what i else i should do while i'm in here?

I always like to cut in a shut off valve on the heater hose. So on a hot day a guy can make sure no heat gets in the
cab of the truck. It's a simple and cheap way to be a little more comfortable
on a hot day. Doesn't it feel good to find the problem and then fix it ?
