IMPO, a car or truck that is laser straight should be GLOSS BLACK AND CHROME. Any one that sees a gloss black truck without waves dents and such, knows without a doubt that the body must be premo to get that way. If you go flat, folks are going to assume that you went flat to hide imperfections, I would. But like always, its your truck paint what you like, unless your going all original, then go with stock Ford period correct colors. Just my 2 cents, wich isn't worth much.

I have to agree. When it came time to paint my 53, I already had a black S10, a black Sky RL, a black Fiero, and a black MaximX. Since I wanted to shoot the paint on the 53 and my bodywork wasn't/isn't up to black paint, I went with red. The downside of black paint is keeping it clean. Only the S10 gets driven when it's wet outside.
