Removal of factory radio 1992 F150
I need to replace the bulb that lights up the display for the clock and frequency of the radio. My truck is a 1992 F150--second generation 1992-1996 dash.
The Ford Shop manual states that a bezel has to be removed before using the DIN removal tools in the four holes in the face plate. How does one remove this plastic bezel? I don't see it.
Eyeballing this radio face plate-it looks like it would just pull out. I only see plastic on the bottom of the opening-I don't see a bezel surrounding the face plate.
I did a search and it seems that many people just use the DIN removal tool and dont remove a bezel. Is it possible to just pull out the radio with the DIN removal tools without damaging the dash?
And what size bulb is used in these factory radios?
