Well...I don't have one and the 3-speed that's with it works just fine. I reckon I'll stick with that for now - it'll be "free". lol

Turns out the 3-speed that's in this truck is a later model 3.03, fully synchronized. I also found out today that the engine that's in it is a 312.

Hi, love the look of those old unibodies ,they are not like the other unibody types that ford made.they actually have a full frame underneath..by the way I recently found a 62 uni short bed smaller back window for sale here in town in a backyard.originally a 6 cylinder w/ a 3spd on tree. He's owned it for 25 years. Currently it has a early 70's 302 w/ a 2brl carb, headers & dual exhaust hooked to a c-6 tranny w/tubular mounts, He got rid of the 3rd peddle & pulled the old steering column & radiater. Then dropped in a early Chevy van tilt column & newer radiated, it's got blue plates & a real good body does have a rust hole in the bed size of a quarter & some on the outside of the pass side bed,not really bad.newish matching tires.& a new original seat.for $3500. I was really interested in it but things have moved on for me. Let me know if interested & I'll go by there again soon & get his phone #. & some pics..good luck w/ your truck l@@is really cool just the way it is.312& a such 3 spd man what a factory hotrod that was..
