I have a '97 F 150 and need new tires. Anyone have any experience with the cooper discoverer brand in 255/70/16 size? It's rated for 60k miles at Pep boys. I have goodyear wrangler RT/s with 30k on them and they have 3/32" left on them.
I've never had Cooper's but a lot of people around here use them and like them. I just bought a set from discount tire called prodigy and they are made by yokohama . I really like them. Tons of grip in snow and a smooth quiet ride. and couldn't beat the price. Out the door they were only $498 dollars. The only bad thing about the tires is they arent available in many sizes. Just my two cents if you're looking to possibly save some money.
My wife had a set on an Expedition. I had the Discoverer AT's on my truck, which looked more like a truck tire. They were okay. The 60K mile prediction is nonsense, unless you're driving Miss Daisy or live in a perfectly flat area with no curves.........
