door locks

When I got my new ignition, I got matching cylinders for my doors. Now I went to install them and it appears a bent rod or wire went between the lock rod has been tossed by PO - as much of the stuff he didn't understand.

Does anybody have a picture or description of the connector wire so I can fabricate one without disassembling the whole ten yards. It looks as if the missing piece slid in the lock assembly and pulled the lock mechanism on. I'm not sure how the connector wire (or rod???) unlocks the door, perhaps the wire(or rod ) is stiff - but shaped a bit to work when the key is reversed. With a mirror, I can see a similar connector on the interior latch handle.
Thanks, Scott

Would it be part number 22152 in this shot?

Name: Latch_mechanism.png

If so it is the same part for left and right side

C1TB-8122152-B - There are about 14 of them available NOS.

They are very stiff wire. Any used truck should make a fine donor.

Called a "Front Door Latch Actuating Rod"

Now I have to ask another question. I have seen both you and ND post these with the quantity available - I'm assuming from Ford- but when I try some numbers the site tells me "not recognized" How do you seem to find these and know which are available.

I really appreciate this work, but would like to save you your time if I could do it
Anyway thanks for the help. It appears I may be missing 22952 and 22954 also. When I try C1TB-8122153-B, ford does not recognize it - is this available?

C1TB-8122152-B is (or, was) a valid part #
Several places that specialize in obsolete parts have it.

C1TB-8122153-B doesnt show up at all. I don't think that's a good number.

..... thanks ND I found some in at Cole Ford in Ohio. I need a clip to hold it on and I'll try a local (FL) locksmith. Glad you are back.

AS you know, I got this 1966 F100 that has been modified by others and many parts thrown away. Since I don't know what the original parts are, I seem to be finding -- then realize I need more. Currently I'm working on rebuilding the steering column and can't get the horn in place. I removed the new parts and got old original steering wheel and some arts.
I think all I need a horn brush kit. CTOZ- 13A821-A
There is a copper button existing and I think the brush is placed over it. It should not be a part of the aftermarket wheel that the F100 came with and been removed

The detail from the ford part manual others here have given me does not show enough detail for me to see if I'm right

Is this button CTOZ- 13A822-A ?

There are two different clips, one on the latch, t'other on the cylinder. Which one do you need?

Look at the parts catalog pic.
The insert fits into the steering wheel first, then the brush fits into the insert. The brush has a thin copper wire inside that snaps.

When bought from FoMoCo, the C2OZ-13A821-A Kit included the brush and the insulator.

Verify that both parts are in the kit...before buying.

COLE FORD in Ada OH has 2 = 419-634-3831.

TANSKY FORD in Logan OH has 3 = 740-385-5678.

LES WENNING FORD in Fort Recovery OH has 4 = 419-375-4134.
