Harley Davidson headlight swap

I have a 2005 F250 that I'm going to swap some HD headlights in. So far the cheapest I've found them is on Amazon:
FORD F-SUPER DUTY/F250/350 (HARLEY-DAVIDSON MODEL) PAIR HEADLIGHT 05-07 NEW : Amazon.com : Automotive FORD F-SUPER DUTY/F250/350 (HARLEY-DAVIDSON MODEL) PAIR HEADLIGHT 05-07 NEW : Amazon.com : Automotive

Is that the right one? There's lots of options for the Harley lights and these are the cheapest, just wanted to double check these are correct. Also, there are some that have a pigtail included, I don't need the pigtail right?

I want to eventually do a HID conversion. I know there's a lot of debate on whether or not they should be used without projectors or whatever, but I just want to make sure I get a good kit.

I don't really know jack **** about HID lights so that's why I'm asking. Is this kit any good? Does it come with everything I need to effectively not muff anything up? If I do HID's in the headlights I'd like to do some HID's in the foglights as well, and LED parking/turn signals. Thanks for the help.

As far as fitment and such those will slap right on. As a matter of fact I got mine from Amazon. I haven't looked into HID conversions in a long time but the last time I did it was pretty much a plug and play and you didn't have to modify anything on your headlight housing.

Okay thank you. I just wanted to make sure these are the same. I see there's a lot of different options for seemingly the same thing but they're from different venders I guess so wanted to check and make sure it's not something weird haha.

And with the HID's I wanted to see if that had everything needed to not overload the system and stuff cause as far as I know you can't just throw a HID bulb or whatever in there without some other parts right?

Most of the headlight assemblies are the same. Unless you get an extremely off brand then that could cause fitting problems. The only thing that is special about the HD lights is that they are "black" lol. My dads Outlaw edition came stock with black headlights.

Here we go again with the last time i checked..... When you bought the HID kit it came with the invert-er box or whatever its called to keep the lights in check and to keep from burning anything up.

You really should do some research on hid lights and "kits" before you buy something. Sticking any bulb brighter than oem, especially hid kits, will just blind oncoming cars. Big difference between kits and projectors. Projectors are set so they have a cutoff so not to blind oncoming cars. They are also much brighter.
Here is some good info:

Yeah I was going to do more research before I was just trying to get an idea of what to look for. Didn't plan on getting them right away. I don't really like the looks of projectors. What's the best option for lighting if you're not gonna do projectors?

I use the sylvannia silver stars. I love the color and the brightness. I would've gone with ultra but they don't make them for our fog lights.

Okay cool, that's what I'll do for now and find an LED setup for the parking light/blinker. Also want to upgrade the fog light bulbs.

I've got pictures of before and after and side by side. The oem vs the silver stars.

My recommendation is try a relay harness for the stock bulbs then if you dont like the output still consider doing an HID projector conversion. I just did the plug and play kit and although i have much better output i had to aim the lights way down to to blind people and the output would be much better with projectors. If you do want a plug and play kits go to DDM tuning they are cheap and decent kits, that's where i got mine.

Is the difference between OEM and the silverstars pretty good? I put the 2008 tail lights in with my 2013 tailgate and silverstars and it's a huge difference.

Wasn't aware of a relay harness, never heard of that. Guess I'll have to check that out.

Man I will admit its a huge difference. I like the way the recon lights look with the 13 tail gates. I got it on my truck.
