I want to add the hidden winch set up as well but I doubt that I will be able to find anyone to ship it up to Alaska with out spending more than the set up is worth.
im not running custom tunes.. the edge unit has a built it in tune that is specifically designed for the AFE intake. im not sure if the intake gave me any noticeable gains since i installed everything in 1 shot but i can tell you its a big diff over stock.

shipping to alaska will prob be at least 80 dollars on something that heavy.

ok so im going on trip this weekend and i have been trying to figure out how to mount my tablet for my GPS. i saw a couple of options online but nothing that would work with the tablet so i figured i would start making my own.
i started with a carboard cutout.

as soon as my wife gets home from work im going to go in the shop and cut it out of steel and get it done tonight

ok here it is all finished up.... i think it came out great for a few hours of work and some scrap metal i had laying around....

I drilled 4 wholes through the plate first.. then i alligned everything and used the plate to drill the wholes through the factory dash plate.

i then put the nuts on. this worked out perfectly because by the time i put the "liner" piece over it its completely flush with it. this will make it so i can take it off whenever im not going to use it and on again very easily.

all painted up

Nice job!
I had my phone and tablet mounted in that same spot (with a windshield sticky mount) and a state trooper pulled alongside me at 65 mph and made several hand gestures for me to remove the equipment.

Looks a little too big and in the way. Also is it not heavy and can cause damage?

its definataly not in the way.. if you look at one of the pictures it only block about 2" of my line of site over the dash.

its not that heavy. i took it on a trip this weekend and im going to make some tweaks to it but overall im very happy with it.

Today's progress so far:

I finished grinding and sanding, added the angle pieces that go from the top bar down to the bottom near the light bar and i have done 2 coats of primer so far. Im going to let this set up overnight and do a few coats of satin black tomorrow.

Great work man! Your truck looks awesome! Did you ever look into some upgrades for you IFS? I noticed that when I was looking at Fabtechs website they have upgraded ball joints, control arms and coil overs. They are proud of them though.

Your truck is coming together sweet! Great job on the rack - a far cry from the first one you tried. If it were my truck that big white 4 x 4 emblem would be gone - doesn't flow with the rest of the colors you have chosen.
Shouldn't be long before you start getting orders for racks!

not yet. i havent had time or the money to do it lol. i will be removing the Leveling kit and going with something better later. but my next mod will prob be making a front bumper that is better suited for offroad use and clearance as well as a rear bumper where i can carry a full size spare and some gas tanks...
