97 F-150 Steering Knuckle replacement

I was able to pick one up used at a local place, they gave me a entire assembly that included the hub. The hub they gave me has the Anti-lock sensor in it, the truck I am putting this in doesn't have anti lock..can I just put it in or do I need to take the hub/lug assembly out of the new one and swap parts?

It will work ok but make sure you seal up the hole for the ABS sensor really well. If any water or junk gets in there it will kill the bearings.

Thanks, I ended up cutting the wires off the sensor and leaving the sensor in, I figured this would be the best way to make sure no water or debris would get in the bearings.

What is the torque setting for the large center spindle nut? It appears I do not have it tight enough and the front part of the pad retainer is just rubbing the rotor. Really that is the only thing I could think off.

The swap was much easier then I had expected, I just unloaded the torque arm and reset it back to the exact amount of turns I took off.

Thanks for all the help

The spec for the axle nut is 188-254 lb.ft.
Not really sure what you mean by the front part of the pad retainer.

the part of the caliper that you insert the pads into that bolts to the steering knuckes, then you slip the caliper over top the assembly and it bolts to the bracket.

Thanks for the TQ setting

The caliper support bracket shouldnt be that close to the rotor. I wonder if it was rubbing before you put the wheel on because the rotor wasnt sitting flat on the hub. The wheel forces it to sit flat when you tighten it up.
