Dual tank switch wires

Dual tank switch wires
Does anybody have any information on what wires do what on a factory electric tank switch and solenoid.
I'm thinking about taking the solenoid and dash switch off my 79 that's parted out, and putting them on my 76 highboy. It's got an aftermarket tank, and the floor around the existing valve needs replacing. Since I'm in the process of changing heater boxes in the cab, I figured I'd go ahead and do it now when I re-install the controls, giving it a more "factory" look
Since the 76 harness doesn't have the wiring I need, I'll be running loose wires. I can't seem to find any information about what wire does what, and which ones I need to hook up.
Thanks

I was wanting to get a feel for how the wiring is to see if it would be easier to run individuals instead of cannibalizing the stock 79 harness.

The electric tank solenoid defaults open to one tank so you need power to the switch (a dpdt, double pull double throw type switch) and then power out to the solenoid. The other half of the switch needs the two incoming lines from the tank fuel sending units and a single out going line from the switch to the fuel gauge.
If say its way easier to run new wires than take the old ones out of your 79. You should be able to use your existing fuel gauge wires.
