Would I need a front end level kit for this?

I'm considering getting some new wheels and tires for my truck. The stock wheels are the 20" wheels and 275/55/20 tires. If I get new 20x9 (XD Rockstar II) wheels and same OEM size tire 275/55/20 (e.g. Nitto Terra Grapplers) would I need to add a level kit for rubbing?

Thanks

youre gonna have to compare backspacing and offset on the new rim vs old rim. What are the old ones?

Im assuming you mean on the '12 F150 in your sig. If that is the size that came on it from the factory you should have no issues. But just to be sure, Turn your tire to full lock in both directions and just look and see how much clearance you have, the tire is gonna now be a little wider and offset a bit more. Id think that it prolly be somewhere around 1.5-2" more offset (assume factory wheels are 20x8)

larry i think hes gonna run the same tire dimensions, so it should mainly come down to backspacing/offset

I will have to figure out the offset and back spacing and then find the wheels that will fit. I have the stock platinum wheels that are, I believe, 20x8.5", +44 offset and 6.xx backspace. I don't want the tires to stick out past the edge of the fender flare.

some food for thought on those rims.
they are called "crack stars" for a reason.
you may like the way they look, they suck for strength.

Google wheel offset calculator you can punch in dimensions an it will tell you how much more the tire will stick out past the stock rims

This was a huge help. I found a couple of websites out there. here is one: Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit

Also found a millimeter to inches conversion calculator so that you can tell how far out of the wheel wells your new tires will be. https://www.google.com/search?q=mill...sm=93&ie=UTF-8

link to see your truck with a level kit (give it a second or two to load): http://tbcwheels.ridestyler.com/?mode=webbot#

I've now got a much better idea of offset and sizing issues. Thanks so much y'all!
