AE codes and not finding the answers

Hello fellos,

I have a couple of AE codes and I not finding the answers for them are searching for awhile.

The truck has sat over night and most of the day today. I just ran the KOEO on the AE and here is what codes it pulling.

P0475-Exhaust Pressure Control Valve.( Unless I'm wrong I kinda expect this one because I deleted the EBPV and put a resister in the electrical connection. )

P1293- Injector High Side Open-Bank #1. Not sure what this is telling me?

P1294- Injector High Side Open-Bank #2. Not sure what this is telling me?

The other two codes registering also are,

B1352 Ignition Key in circuit faul
B1359 Ignition run / accessory circuit failure.

Any advice or links to help would be grate.

Thanks a lot, Brice

If the engine runs well then just clear the codes and don't worry too much about it. If you are really concerned then get the engine up to operating temperature and run the KOER self test.

Since you deleted the EBPV you should ignore the code for valve performance...

Thanks for the reply Shake-N-Bake

I'm trying to figure out exactly what the test is trying to tell me.

What has me concerned is that I also had just replaced my injector cups and now maybe one or more connections for some reason are not tight. (I found some other post while searching for the codes suggesting connections, wire harness and valve cover gasket connections could have issues).

Any other test I could run that would put me closer to which cylinders are having the issues?

Thanks again for the reply.

Buzz test it cold.
Then warm it up and buzz test again.
Then run cylinder contribution test.

If everything looks good try resetting the keep alive memory. (In the same drop down menu with buzz test, cct, koer, etc)

I just saw the ignition key in circuit fault on an e99 this weekend... thats a wierd one i havent figured out yet. No operational conditions seem to be affected tho.

The high side open code means your harnesses were unplugged at some time or another. Your engine will not run with both sides unplugged so it has to be an expired code.

The Key On Engine Running test is sampler plate for various diagnostic features and requires operator input for the brake switch, steering and OD button testing. A cylinder contribution test is included in that group so that may indicate if you have any low performing injectors.

Alternatively, you can manually run the contribution test yourself with AE. It will do the same thing, just make sure your engine is up to operating temp first.

Keep in mind that AutoEnginuity is just another tool. AE can not diagnose anything....all it can do is retrieve codes, read live data, report if components are in or out of range and perform specialized tests. It's still up to the user to interpret the information and figure out what is causing the readings to be out of range.

If your engine is running fine, then it doesn't sound like there is anything to fix.

Thanks guys,

You just saved me a lot of time.

Since I just replaced my injector cups that would explain the reason for the codes.

As always, still learning how AE works and what to look for with the program.

Working on the AE classes as time permits.

Will clear the codes and go from there.

Thanks again, Brice
