Intake Manifold/ Carb Questions

I have a 73 F-250 with a 360. I've heard that If i put a 4 barrel and intake on it with everything stock except headers and air intake that I will actually lose power? Is that true?
Also will a 4 bbl intake from a 390 bolt right onto my 360?

Where did you hear that from???

1. Typically, no. It results in more air, more fuel, more power.
2. Yes... it's a bolt-on affair.

Place the manifold on the block and before tightening it down, insert the distributor to line it up true and square.
