Haynes full size van repair manual pic reversed

Has anyone noticed that on the Haynes repair manual for ford full size vans 1992-2010 that the picture of the van is backwards? It's showing the van from the passenger side but it only has front doors and the fuel filler is on the passenger side. If you have the manual go look. Maybe I have a misprint idk. Just seems weird

I can say with a high degree of pride I've not laid eyes on a Haynes or Chilton publication in over 20 years!

Ya know those types of manuals are somewhat useful for those without any real experience or working knowledge of their vehicles. They've very limited in scope or what they cover, pretty much not useful for more heavy or involved repairs most of us might attempt.

I've found many, many times info here on FTE far exceeds what Haynes and Chilton provides---the biggest advantage is we've actually done so much of what we discuss.

Its always good to have at-hand reference materials though---in that sense a lot of things aren't completely worthless.

I always buy one with whatever vehicle I buy just in case. It has some things in it that are quicker than waiting on someone to reply. But you are right FTE is way more in depth and interactive

Just checked my 1992-2005 manual. It's reversed same as yours is. The blue oval on the hood reads correct, though.

I figure by the time I have to reach for the ol' HRM I am well past looking at the cover.

Makes you wonder: what else could be azzbackwards between page one and the index?

Bad Ronald, that is something to think about. I wonder if my other manuals are like that.

Was just in the garage and looked at the HRM for my Expedition and Aerostar. Both vehicle images on the cover were normal.

Unlike the Full Size Van image, the other two vehicles were shown equipped with steering wheels.

The 1974-1992 dodge truck is backwards too. Never noticed the lack of steering wheel
