Parts advice, removing leveling kit and going back to stock

1995 F150 4x4 5.8L. All stock spec except for a 2" Daystar leveling kit.

Which parts do we need to go back to stock? The daystar kit only includes this Daystar™ - Driven by Design

I checked out JBG. Do we need the OEM coil spring insulator? I'm assuming it was replaced with that 2" piece of junk/rubber. Do we need any nuts or bolts? Are shorter shocks needed? It has nitro 9000 model 92151 and 91751 quad setup.

Here is a list of parts for the stock front suspension. I'm not sure if posting this link is allowed. I apologize if so. 1980-96 Ford Bronco/F100/F150 Stock Front Bronco, F150, F100 & Parts - Suspension Stock

Or maybe it's as smiple as just removing the spacers and then getting an alignment

That kit doesn't create an unsafe condition in a F150.

And if the truck sits nice kit makes up for spring sag/factory rake and he likes it, it drives nice as it should, has been properly aligned with the kit in place?

No reason to force your friend to do anything one way or the other.

Sounds like perhaps you buddy should come here ask about it.

Hello and good afternoon.

A bit off-topic but do you have a Steve Saleen engine?

Take care

Yes if he doesn't like the way it sits, just remove it nothing more to it nothing else needed.

Remove the bushing and stud extender aspect of kit, put the spring and nut back on.

Get the gist of it here,

http://daystarweb.com/attachments/in...rd/KF09108.pdf

Easy enough to take out/put in but before doing anything he really should post his own questions and or concerns about it first though. He might rather leave after knowing more about it, least able to make a fully informed decision stays or goes that way.

Might turn out need new springs with those removed, who knows at this point the PO might have added them solely to make up for old and sagging springs and nothing more. With them removed it might sag down to point near impossible to properly align it.

The instructions do not mention a coil spring compressor. In your opinion, will we need one?

Yes they do, right in the list of tools needed... And yes you will need it, unless of course you're best buds with Superman or The Hulk.

It says "may" need one to reinstall the spring. Most of the threads on here say you do not need one and not to use one because they are dangerous.

Okay thanks for the advice.

If you've never used a spring compressor before, be really careful, especially the external hook kind. Watch where you put your fingers. It really hurts to get your finger jammed between the coil spring and the compressor bolt. Don't ask how I know.
